Step into the most beautiful yoga studio of all–Mother Nature. This Yoga SUP experience allows you to reconnect with nature alongside the most glorious backdrop of all. We are about connecting authentically, moving your body and celebrating your falls (with a splash)! This class is for anyone who wants to explore what it is like to move alongside the element of water and play. Every Wednesday morning from 9-11am, beginning July 10-August 28 at Riverbend Park, Bend OR.
Price is $35 per class or purchase a 5-pack for $150 (non-refundable). Price includes board/paddle/PFD/anchor.
Our lead instructor is Kelly Nie: Kelly began teaching yoga in 2013 and currently works as a yoga therapist and life coach. She is a 500HR E-RYT teacher certified in Primal Vinyasa, Baptiste Yoga and Yin Yoga which allows her to teach a variety of students of every ability level. Kelly says “I enjoy leading Yoga SUP as a fun and challenging way to experience movement on the water with a board. If you are looking to explore a deeper understanding of your center line, need a laugh or want to try something you’ve never done, I am here to empower, support and hold space for you”.
We do not take online reservations within 12 hours of the class. Please call the shop, as there are often spaces open last minute: 541-317-9407. We require a minimum class size, so periodically we need to reschedule due to low enrollment.
If you’re new to the sport, we encourage you to sign up for our Basic Skills Stand Up Paddleboarding offered right here at our store in the heart of Bend, just downstream from the Old Mill District.
If you are looking to purchase your own board and gear, you’ve come to the right place. Tumalo Creek Kayak & Canoe has the best selection of stand up paddleboards, paddles, gear and board shorts and rash guards in Central Oregon. Ask for our in-house SUP expert Sue Fox: she spent years stand up surfing in Hawaii when the sport was first popularized by Liard Hamilton.
