Whether it is your first time in a whitewater kayak, or you need a thorough refresher after years out of your boat, Tumalo Creek’s Brace & Roll (summer) Class is a great place to start. You will have two hours in our solar heated pool to learn and practice hip snaps, bracing, and t-rescues. We’ll give plenty of one-on-one instruction with each paddler to introduce and refine the roll, first with a torso supported roll, then a paddle supported roll, and finally a solo roll, all with an instructor close by.
Need gear? We are happy to provide gear, so if you sign up online, please be sure to fill out your height and weight, and whether we should plan on having a boat ready for you.
We do not take online reservations within 24 hours of the class. Please call the shop, as there are often spaces open last minute: 541-317-9407.
