We carry high quality Pau Hana and Glide boards that are super stable and easy to paddle. We’re happy to offer KIALOA as our official rental stand up paddles… they are great company located right here in Bend.

Here at Tumalo Creek, there is always plenty of parking. And our favorite put-in for paddling the river is just a short walk across our beautifully manicured lawn on the banks of the Deschutes.

Or, if you’d like to take your boards up to the Cascades Lakes to explore some of the most spectacular scenery in Central Oregon, our friendly staff will assist you in securing your stand up paddleboard rentals to the roof of your car if you have a roof rack and cross bars. We’ll be sure to give you a quick lesson on getting them off too!

Where should I take my rental?

For those new to the area, here’s a quick primer on the best locations for stand up paddleboarding in Central Oregon. The easiest place to start is right behind our shop on the Deschutes River. Make a left turn away from the launch dock (watch that eddy line!) and paddle up stream 1.5 miles to the Bill Healy Bridge where you will soon encounter strong currents and whitewater. It’s time to turn around and enjoy an easy paddle/float back to our store on river right. Please exit the river at the launch dock on the right; directly downstream there is a whitewater park.

Some other locations we highly recommend for visitors to the area are Sparks Lake, Elk Lake and Hosmer Lake, but really any slow-moving body of water off the Cascade Lakes Highway is worth exploring if you have time.

Whether you choose to stay in town and enjoy a paddle through the Old Mill District or head off on a all-day adventure in the mountains, Tumalo Creek has a great selection of stand up paddleboard rentals in an excellent location close to downtown Bend, Oregon.
