Paddlefest this weekend!
Get set for the upcoming paddling season: learn to kayak on Saturday, and spend Sunday out on the Deschutes River trying out the boat of your dreams.
On April 30th and May 1st, Tumalo Creek Kayak and Canoe will hold it’s annual Spring Paddle Fest. Kayaking experts will teach free two-hour basic skills kayak clinics all day Saturday behind the store starting at 10 a.m. On Sunday, the party moves to River Bend Park in front of the new Parks and Rec Building. Boating representatives from major kayak, canoe and paddleboard companies will bring the latest models for paddlers to demo and will be on hand to answer any specific questions about their boats.
This is the perfect opportunity for those new to paddling who would like to learn the basics and find a boat that is just the right fit. The demo day is also a great option for advanced paddlers who are looking to upgrade, but would like to gain a hands-on knowledge of what is available before investing in a new boat.
Attendees will receive a coupon towards 10% off one non-sale boat and 15% off one non-sale accessory item during the entire spring sale.
If you are interested in signing up for a free basic skills kayak class on Saturday, please call the shop to reserve your spot.
